They were so hard and worn that sitting down on them in sunlight was like sitting down on hot charcoal brickets. I know what you're saying though ... I always have to warn the girlfriend before she sits down in her short shorts in the summers. I've heard more than one good screech as a result of the hot seats. The seats never bothered me much in that respect though ... the real killer is the Greddy aluminum shift knob. Those things feel like a branding iron in sunlight - plus they transmit the CAT heat perfectly ... I almost have to wear a glove to shift the thing. Now I know why the OEM shift knob was leather.
